Everleaf Gaming Bans USA Players

Written by admin | February 9, 2012

In a surprising move Everleaf Gaming has stopped accepting USA players to their network effective immediately.

First reported by PokerAddict, it was confirmed earlier this morning that the popular network had amended their terms and conditions, noting in rule #18 that “no person who is resident in Malta, France and USA may open an account, play, or in any other way participate in the ELG offerings and/or services.”

Minted Poker is one of the shining stars of the Everleaf network, and had been growing in popularity in the US due to their ease of deposits and fast cashouts (normally handled through Western Union).  However, many Minted players Рalong with players on other Everleaf skins Рhad noticed dramatic delays in their cashouts as of late.

A spokesman for the company would later post on the popular poker forum 2+2 that United States authorities had seized some of their payment processors, including player funds that had already been delayed more than several weeks before the alleged takeover of their processors.

Everleaf’s aforementioned spokesman, Neil, also told fearful players that the company is already in talks with the USA Department of Justice on how the repayment of player funds will be handled, with further word hopefully coming this weekend.

It’s important to note that while American players can still access their Everleaf accounts and play for real money right now, it is expected that everyone with a US I.P. address will be fully blocked from accessing the virtual felt on Friday, February 10th, 2012.
